Amazing amazing across the board! This might be a long one so make time for it lol Not sure why there’s some unhappy customers when I read some of the reviews. We love our pool! It’s taken a minute to write this review I do apologize. It was built some months back, we’ve been so busy enjoying it with friends and family and life’s busy. The dogs love it too! It’s great exercise for everybody, even at night we swim way more than I ever imagined we would. The pool and deck was built fairly quickly and exactly the way we wanted. All of the workers who went in were super nice and professional- which is a total plus coming in and out of the yard. Jacob, our contact person was always really communicative throughout the process. The hardest part was picking out the tile around the waterline, with so many options. We chose a white rainbow shimmery one eventually. Clean, neutral look. Love it!! See it everyday from our kitchen window when I’m washing dishes lol- Makes that job a lot easier. Even when we’re not swimming, the little trickling creek sound and lights at night reflecting on the water is magical. The pool’s lights have different colors we can change in the settings at night, they’re so fun. It’s beautiful to look at and can’t imagine our backyard any other way. I highly recommend island way! That rhymed unintentionally lol I’ll share pics we took of the building of it all and even when it was getting filled up for the first time! We were so excited!! It was an intricate process and really cool to see from start to finish.

Island Way was a breath of fresh air after having Gulfstream come by. Gulfstreams was disheartening and told us our space wouldn’t really work they way we were envisioning it and that it would just look like an add on. But Joey came out and saw the potential and helped us walk through it. Then when we came in to draw it up and pick and choose options - Zach was very helpful and we worked on a design together. In hindsight, design wise - I would NOT go with deck jets. But we are loving the larger hot tub and my favorite - the table in the pool. We’ve eaten there, played games on it, and my kid even does homework on it. We also really wanted a big space for Cornhole on the back end. When I got nervous the space wasn’t big enough - Brian didn’t hesitate or make us feel bad to have the trench dug a little further out. My Cornhole game is improving immensely. There was some shuffling of new management while our pool was built, but everyone was very kind and professional throughout the process. Joe and Jacob always took the time to listen to our concerns and find a solution. We are so happy for our space and thankful for working with a good company that holds true to their word!

Zachary Chase was amazing to work with! Laid back guy, took our design and worked it fast and easy. Made some good recommendations for decking and coping and we were truly satisfied. They went above and beyond on some things that naturally can have hiccups in the business and pulled off the project. Give this pool company a chance they have the knowledge, expertise and know how when it comes to pools. If there is something wrong although sometimes is hard to get a hold off someone they will answer and get the job done!

My experience with island way pools was nothing short of impressive. Starting with Zach walking me through the entire process and working within my budget. We met at their office and he 3D rendered out the pool and we discussed finer details as well as picked out materials/colors etc. He was never pushy and made sure I was totally comfortable with what we discussed and allowed me time to work out the loan details and logistics on my side before we pressed forward. Whenever I had questions in the early stages of the process Zach was quick to answer or point me to someone who could assist me. Then when the actual pool process was underway, Brian was one of my main points of contact and was extremely communicative and easy to reach out to with any questions or concerns I had. He kept me updated every step of the way, and even with hurricane season getting in the way of some of the work, he never left me hanging and always had an update for me ensuring I knew if there were any delays. My project broke ground August 14th and was wrapped up by October 27th give or take as far as having water in the pool and major items completed. This was extremely impressive again given the massive hurricane season we had and knowing that island ways was also displaced from their office due to the storm. I even got my HOA approval with little to no issue which was also shocking given other people’s experience in my neighborhood and other pool companies. Both Abbey and Amber were extremely helpful throughout the HOA and inspection processes. They were both very communicative as well letting me know if they needed anything from me or giving me updates on some of the paperwork logistics of things. Mitch and Jon were also both fantastic. Consistently posting updates, even when going through final chemistry checks of the pool. Jon did a thorough review with me on my pool and the equipment as well as labeled everything so I could easily manage the equipment. Additionally, Jon helped me set up my pool alarm to pass inspection. I’ve told other neighbors I highly recommend island way and am over the moon happy about how everything turned out. I’m so happy I used Island Way Pools to resurface my old fiberglass pool. I had over 7 estimates from local businesses. I asked my coworkers for recommendations and 2 of them told me how great of a job Island Way Pools did for them. I called for an estimate and Lance the owner came out next day. Lance spent over 2 hours with me answering all my questions and explaining the process. He was so kind and listened to my needs and recommended what to do to keep me within my budget while updating my 1989 pool. I wasn’t going to spend the extra money on updating my old tile but Lance showed me some beautiful glass tiles and suggested I replace the old broken pool light with a new color changing led light all while keeping it within my budget. He didn’t try to hard upsell me like some of the others and really worked with me to stay in my budget while trying to help me bring my old pool back to life. Lance worked me right into their schedule so I didn’t have to wait 2 to 3 months out like a lot of the other companies. I was very impressed with his crews how they worked around the thunderstorms and came right on schedule, were professional, and didn’t leave any messes. Lance communicated with me almost daily on what to expect as the job progressed. I’m so happy I chose this company and thrilled with the completed job. Most importantly I have peace of mind based on their quality of work and absolutely love my new updated pool!

Back in 2014 I used Island Way pavers and pools to build my whole pool and outside oasis. It was outstanding and above my expectations; but now it’s 2024 and a hurricane hit us that took so much from everyone and dumped contaminated waters and dirt in our pools. I used Island Way for cleaning the pool pressure washing it, acid washing it, and back to pristine condition in two days. I appreciate them so much. Brian did such a beautiful job cleaning my pool; and my pool water is so blue now and I don’t remember it ever being so blue. I am just thrilled that my pool is so clean and doesn’t have that murky muddy contaminated hurricane water, debris or mud in it anymore! Great job Island Way!!

Great experience working with Island Way Pools. Their design software to mock up our project and the consultation was simple, detailed, and low-pressure. Zach Case was our main point of contact and he followed up with us periodically and professionally prior to our commitment to start the project. Once we committed, the process was very quick from ground breaking to completion. Jacob and Joe came out and explained the whole process before things began. Joe was our day to day contact and provided regular updates, great communication, and friendly service. Once the pool was complete, Jon helped us get everything set up and serviced for the first month or so. We loved the deck and had them come out and add to the project a few weeks later. We did encounter a few minor issues along the way, which is to be expected with any pool project. I told them upfront that I wanted to ensure we worked through any issues reasonably and quickly and they lived up to that. I had a great experience with Island Way Pools. We initially went with a different company. Zach stayed in touch asking why we went a different direction. He was always respectful and honest with me. When the other company had a miscommunication on when to meet to sign the contract, we got nervous. We gave the proposal for the first company to Island Way and 2 competitors. One said it was too small, another could not meet the budget. Zach was able to meet the budget, and beat the timeline. It was 11 weeks and 1 day from layout to final inspection. We had a great experience working with Joe. The communication was always good. When I found myself wanting to pester them, they would reach out with an update- so they can tell when things are taking long enough you might feel antsy. For a project as expensive as an in-ground pool, communication makes all the difference. They answered all my questions, gave good updates, and were friendly the entire time. I suspect the people who had issues with communication, etc. likely had unreasonable expectations. I would recommend Island Way Pools to anyone looking for an in-ground pool. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Island Way Pools absolutely killed it! The staff was amazing. Zach in sales was great he helped me draw up exactly what I wanted & when I would want to tweak something along the way he always found a way to make it work. Amber in admin. was on top of everything the whole way through. She fought for me to get me through every step of the permitting & inspection. Joe was the supervisor of the work and was on site almost daily to ensure the work was done well & and any concerns I had were addressed. Jon is the equipment & water quality tech and was awesome too. Answering all my questions, showing up to tweak chemicals & equipment settings anytime I needed. He ensured everything functioned perfect the first month or 2 of operation. Hire Island Way trust me. I lived in a historic district in st pete & they were giving me a hard time on the project so I actually sold the house & moved to the beach. They fought for me with the historic folks, then when I moved they didn’t terminate my contract or try to charge me anything extra, they took my design and tweaked it for the new house. As I was buying the new house they gave me feedback on the proper sized yard. They helped me find ppl to do the things I needed to accomplish on my end to do the job. The pool turned out incredible, see attached pics. From putting shovel in dirt to swimming was roughly 6 months total & this included them doing 2 large patios, my driveway & a pretty large pool/hot tub combo. We recently had island way pools create our back yard oasis. They were amazing in every part of the process. It started by working with Zach. I gave him a rough idea of what we wanted and he made a 3d rendering of it. After a few small revisions, we were ready for them to make it come to life! We were told it would take around 8 weeks after permitting was done. My project manager, Brian was fantastic! He kept us up to date almost daily and anytime I had a question. He answered in a very timely manner. And if he did not know the answer, he found the answer promptly. They started digging first week of February 2024 and we were swimming second week of April! We just completed a custom pool project with Island Way Pools and we are extremely happy with both the results and the overall experience. The pool was completed in approximately 4 months, which included the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years holidays as well as several design changes (extra pavers) we made along the way. Our Project Manager Brian was completely on top of the entire process, communicated clearly and regularly as to both what to expect and when each phase was to happen and all the subcontractors and crews were professional, timely, and (probably most importantly) did excellent work! We absolve the final result!!! Island Way may not be your cheapest option for a custom pool, though we felt their rates were composite other local companies, but the quality of the end result is impeccable and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. I have never had a home project come out exactly how we envisioned during the design process but, with Island Way, that is what we got. I couldn’t recommend them more.

We decided we wanted a pool in the summer of 2021. We looked at 4 pool companies and there was no doubt we were going to go with Island Way Pools. Zach very much impressed us. He really listened to us and he designed our dream pool right out of the gate! We signed our contract in August and were swimming in March. Although we experienced quite a few issues along the way, our end result was beautiful/functional and our family thoroughly enjoys every aspect of our new back yard. Zach listened to our wants and needs and provided a great design. We would have never thought of some of the features he incorporated like the swim out benches - all very useful and utilized daily. We had three quotes for our project. Island Way was not the cheapest. What convinced us was their unique design and experience working with waterfront property. Unknowingly, we had several buried issues with our seawall tiebacks which adversely affected our initial design. In the end, Lance and Phil's experience dealing with similar problems enabled them to re-design our project. Working through the initial planning process Lance and Phil referenced their guarantee's and warranties which all the other contractors had. I've never been on the winning end of any warranty work so I just mumbled under my breath "yeah, right" as we worked through that part of contract negotiations. Well, two days after completion I had a leak. Within a week Lance had it fixed. Cool. Three weeks ago one to the LED fountains broke. Last week it was fixed. Way cool! So, do what you want to save a few bucks going with a cheaper bid. If you want the complete package, with a unique design and no B.S. , go with Island Way.

Island Way Pavers and Pools were only one of two companies out of the ten I contacted to respond and give me a quote for the poorly built nightmare of a pool we have. All the other BIG NAME companies I contacted, never returned with a quote and when I called them back, they stated it was a job they did not want to touch. Lance and Phil from Island Way Pools and Pavers loved the idea of a challenge and provided us with a wonderful 3D image of what my new pool and deck would soon become. They also put a plan together to fix my settlement issue. I am still waiting to see the end result, but his crew has been working hard everyday to break up the mass amounts of concrete required in the demolition phase. Island Way was a joy to work with on our recent pool remodel. I researched getting my pool redone for months and I was a little worried since their bid came in the cheapest! I had a huge 1980s pool with nasty cool deck, horrible tile, and bad marcite finish. I now have the most gorgeous pool with all the bells and whistles. They removed some concrete decking to make a larger yard for my dogs, installed a salt generator, refinished the inside, installed new tile and coping and put in new travertine pavers. Everything came in on time (3 weeks) and under budget. The best part is all my neighbors and friends are so jealous!

We highly recommend Islandway pavers and pools. On Dec. 2nd we had nothing but grass in our backyard and as of Dec. 17th we have a pool shell with all the plumbing, tile and coping completed. They expect to have us in the pool by Christmas. They are very professional and detail oriented and provided a realistic depiction of the final product during the initial consultation.
